First steps on the ascent

Hidden in the Cadin group is the Fonda Savio hut 2367m. Surrounded by dreamlike rock battlments. A perfect training ground.

Day 1
3 pm Meeting at the parking lot: Plateau Pian degli Spiriti, 1880m. This is the starting point for the cablecar, which transports large items of luggage to the hut. In 1.5 hours we climb over 500 Hm to the rustic style hut. Dinner and program discussion.

Day 2
Top rope climbing is the focus today. The climbing area is in the vicinity of the hut. Subjects are: Elementary climbing techniques, rappelling and securing your partner as well as equipment training.

Day 3
Today it's on to the climb. Safe anchor points and the independent abseiling make the day really exciting.

Day 4
The day begins with anchor points, anchor changes and rope commands. Also, we learn about how to keep safe when moving. A good multi pitch tour at the Cima Cadin del Rifugio 2436m, with a spectacular abseil route makes the hearts beat faster. In the evening there is self-assessment and tour planning.

Day 5
The highlight of the week the Paracarro - northeast wall 2517m. Airy multi pitch route on the best Dolomite rock with a difficulty of 3+. Today, we apply everything we have learned. Departure from the Hut, and trip home at 4 pm.
